So he's kinda talented. But after the war he decides to go into the recording business as Ahmet Ertegun's engineering wiz at Atlantic, working with everybody. No, EVERYBODY. Dizzy, Coltrane,Aretha, Cream, The Allman Brothers...the list goes on. He's one of the most significant producers in the history of recorded music. It was amazing watching him at the console replaying the Derek & The Dominoes Layla sessions master tapes, reviewing the Duane Allman/Eric Clapton guitar interplay. This documentary's fantastic.
